Hi, I’mGiuseppeRaddato.

I write software that helps
people work better.

Java and Spring backend by trade; frontend, Android and generative AI by curiosity. Today I build microservices for a bank. Since 2010 I’ve been building tools that make work simpler for the people who use them.

About me

The problem first. Then the technology.

I started in 2010 with an Android app that sent an elderly person’s location to an emergency centre. Since then I’ve worked on mobile apps, web portals, insurance batch systems, banking APIs, public administration services and a RAG platform. The common thread: understand the problem before writing a line of code.

I work mostly with Java and Spring, but I don’t stop at the backend. React and TypeScript for interfaces, Android for apps and, more recently, generative models and automation. I also help small businesses with custom software and Shopify stores.

What I do

Three ways I can be useful.

  • Backend and microservices

REST and gRPC APIs, batch processing, migrations and integrations between systems. Java and Spring are home: it’s where I work every day, from banking to public administration.

    • Java
    • Spring Boot
    • PostgreSQL
    • Docker
  • Automation and generative AI

Assistants that answer from company documentation, RAG pipelines, n8n workflows. Fewer manual steps, more control over what matters.

  • Custom software and Shopify

Management tools, apps and online stores for businesses without an IT department. We work out what’s needed, build a first version and improve it together.

    • Android

How I work
  1. Listen

We start with the problem, the systems you already use and the result you want.

  2. Build a first version

Something concrete to try soon, not a hundred-page document.

  3. Improve

Test, fix, extend. With tests, clean code and no surprises.

Projects

A few things I’ve built.

An e-commerce store, a tool for shift workers, two Android apps. Personal and client projects, alongside my work in companies.

Skills

The tools I use.

Every technology is a means. The value is in combining them the right way for the problem at hand.

Common questions

The three things I get asked most.

  1. Which business processes can you help me automate?

Collecting and organising data, exchanging information between applications, notifications, consulting documentation. We look at the workflow together, its exceptions and where human oversight should stay.

  2. Can you help with my Shopify store?

Yes. I can create and customise a Shopify store, organise the catalogue and refine the shopping experience on mobile too. We can start from scratch or from an existing store. You’ll find C&C, at cecstore.it, among the projects.

  3. How do we start?

Use the form to send me a few lines about the project or the process. We start from the problem, the systems you use and the result you want, and identify a concrete first step.
